The hardest part is over.
You've officially decided to start therapy!
finding "the" therapist can be hard.
Scrolling through endless google searches is draining.
How do you know if you're choosing the right one??
And what do all of these acronyms even mean?!
Many of us who have tried therapy in the past have seen a therapist that they just did not vibe with (myself included).
It can be really hard to make the most out of therapy when you don't feel comfortable with or connected to your therapist.
i'm proud of you.
therapy works best when you find a therapist who is the right fit for you.
Successful counseling begins with a genuine and collaborative relationship with your therapist. No one therapist is a good fit for every client, and it's okay to want a therapist you can relate to!
I encourage all potential clients to do their research before scheduling their first appointment. Reach out to a few different therapists before you commit to one.
We all have different styles and specialties - it’s important to learn who you connect with!
am I the right therapist for you?!
Let's find out!
Before we meet, we will start with a free phone call to get to know each other a little better. You can ask any questions you may have about my style, treatment methods, the therapy process in general, etc.
If you think we’re a good match after our initial call (yay!), I will email you some paperwork and we will schedule our first appointment together. I’ll walk you through all the logistics before we meet.
not sure i'm the right fit?
I am still here to support you, and can help direct you to other local therapists who might be.
